President's Message

As President and General Manager of the Ottawa Sooners Football Club, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out with messages of support and belief in where this program is headed.

As a former CJFL and semi-professional player, I understand the demands of this level and the responsibility that comes with leading a historic organization. My commitment is clear: to ensure Ottawa Sooners football is built on preparation, accountability, and sustained success.

Our focus is on creating a winning environment rooted in skill development, position-specific training, and strong mentorship. Our coaching staff and support team are dedicated to providing players with the structure and exposure they need to progress along their educational and football pathways.

We have a responsibility to our players, alumni, and the entire Sooner community to compete the right way. Every decision we make is guided by what puts our athletes in the best position to succeed and what strengthens the program long-term.

This summer represents an important milestone as we prepare for our annual Canada vs. USA Battle of the Border game, a showcase that allows our athletes to compete against strong American programs while highlighting the quality of Canadian junior football. It is a meaningful measuring stick and an opportunity to raise our standard through high-level competition.

At the same time, our long-term objective remains unchanged: positioning the Ottawa Sooners to compete for a fifth National Championship. That pursuit influences everything—from how we train, to who we recruit, to how we structure our program.

We are continuing to assemble an experienced coaching and support staff with high-level backgrounds who understand what it takes to win consistently. Their leadership will reinforce that the Ottawa Sooners are committed to being a disciplined, competitive, and respected organization.

I am confident in the direction we are moving and grateful for the continued support from our community, alumni, partners, and families. We are building something strong, sustainable, and worthy of the Ottawa Sooners legacy.
