Jamie has been involved in Ottawa football for over 30 years. He started as a WR for the Canterbury Mustangs and then played FB with the Glebe Gryphons for his high school years (National Capital Champs 1991). He moved on to play FB with the Ottawa Sooners and was a member of the 1997 Provincial Championship team.
Jamie has been coaching in Ottawa since 2009. He started coaching in NCAFA and the Belair Norsemen at the midget level; first as a WR coach then moving on to RB coach and OC. He moved on to coach with the Orleans Bengals at the midget level; there he was the RB coach and special teams’ coordinator. He was a part of the Bengals coaching staff for their 2013 NCAFA Championship.
Jamie is excited to be back with the Ottawa Sooners as part of its 2016 coaching staff. He continues to coach football because there is no other sport that exemplifies the spirit of competition and comradery in such a significant way.
